How our service works

Confidential Waste Company is not a shredding firm. We are a small, free service that helps offices, practices, schools and other organisations across the UK find a contractor to collect and destroy confidential paper and data-bearing devices, and this page explains exactly how that works.

  1. Send the request slip

Your postcode, what needs destroying and roughly how much, whether you want a regular service or a single clearance, and the best way to reach you.

  2. We find a confidential waste contractor

One that collects in your postcode and handles the material you described, whether that is paper, drives or both.

  3. We tell you who it is

Normally within one working day, by email or phone. Only when you say yes do we pass your details on, and only to that one firm.

  4. Containers, dates and a written price

The firm confirms what it will supply, how often it will collect and what it charges. Any agreement is between you and them.

What we are not

We are not a shredding company and are not connected to any business with a name like ours. We do not collect, store, transport or destroy anything, and we never issue certificates of destruction.

Promises we keep

  • We never charge you or ask for a deposit.
  • Your details go to one firm at most, and only after you agree to it.
  • We do not price your job. Only the contractor can, once they know the volumes and access.
  • We do not put you on a mailing list.

Who pays for this

The contractor pays us a fee for each introduction. You pay us nothing, whether or not you go ahead.

About our prices and guidance

Every price here is a typical range drawn from published UK price guides or from public contract award notices, with the source named on the page. Use them to budget; only a contractor can give you a quote. Our notes on UK GDPR, ICO guidance and BS EN 15713 are general guidance, not legal advice.

Ask for confidential waste prices

Three short steps: your postcode, what needs destroying, and how to reach you. About two minutes.

A free matching service, not a confidential waste contractor. We find one that covers your postcode and tell you who it is first. Your details go nowhere until you agree.
